Q. When I try to send a picture message I get a network error.
A. Your error message may well be "unknown subscriber" or "network error". You probably have to enable picture messaging (MMS messaging) with your network. Visit your network's website, create an account with your phone number, find information on MMS messaging and follow the instructions. It's quite straightforward. Failing that, call your network provider. They send you a text message that will set your phone up. Find help pages for the six main suppliers using these links.
Q. I sent my pic but it did not get published and I didn't get a confirmation message.
A. We run a network check on your phone. If you don't have enough credit, or your phone is brand new and has not made enough calls for us to verify it then we don't publish the pic.
Q. I have a picture I want to send on my phone and there is not enough space in the subject line to put anything meaningful in.
A. The text in the subject line is limited, you need to enter your text somewhere else on the phone. On some phones it's easier to put the text in first then select the image. You'll have loads of space to put your text in.
Q. I tried to send a message but got an error from my phone.
A. It's possible the content of your message is too large for your network. Try editing your message. The largest part is likely to be a movie, then a sound file, then an image, then your text. It's unlikely to be the text.
Q. How much does my network provider charge me to send you an ad?
The charges your network provider applies are going to be different depending on what you want to send, who your network provider is and what tarif you have. There are dozens of network providers most of them operating under partner deals with the main providers. We have listed links to the network charge pages of 6 major players in the market.
Q. I want to send more than 160 characters but don't want to include a movie, picture or sound file?
A. You can get up to a thousand characters (perhaps more, depending on your network) if you send an MMS message, but don't include an attachment. This may mean you will pay more for the message than a plain SMS message.
Q. The Gallery page does not show my message after I have sent it in, but when I close the browser window, then open it again, new images appear.
